Stamford Post Office Building was originally completed in1919 in a style of Renaissance Palladian villa. It was expanded in 1939 and the addition closely followed the style and detailing of the original Building. The building functioned as a central Stamford post office until 2010. Recent renovations headed by Kalman include preserving all the exterior features on the Atlantic and Federal Streets and developing a new façade on the northern side of the building where the grade previously covered the lover level. The new uses of the interior spaces include office and retail spaces.
