Elena Kalman, AIA, designed The Bridgefront to function effectively on a very small site located between two renovated former factories in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn. The building’s new facade mimics the large industrial windows of the surrounding structures; vertical pillars accentuate its curved corner. Although the apartments are not large, their open floor plans, tall ceilings and windows with views of the Brooklyn Bridge create a spacious effect.
